Tras dos éxitos rotundos había gran expectación por el siguiente album de Def Leppard, a pesar del trágico fallecimiento del guitarrista Steve Clark. Pero 'Adrenalize' suena cansado, predecible y soso. Leppard se aparta de los himnos y sus baladas suenan demasiado calculadas y genéricas. Asi que sus canciones carecen de ese aire de himno que Leppard logró álbumes anteriores. 'Adrenalize' es competente, correcto y con una producción impecable, pero poco más.
